Green Gold Winner 2026!

Uniplas is proud to announce that we have been recognised as the Green Gold Award winner at The Post 2026 Gold Awards, held at the Embassy Theatre in Wellington.

The Post Gold Awards recognise outstanding businesses across the Wellington region, with the Green Gold category specifically acknowledging organisations demonstrating meaningful and measurable progress in sustainability. To be selected as this year's winner is an honour that reflects the collective effort of the entire Uniplas team and the commitment of our leadership to driving genuine change within our business and our industry.

On the 31st of August, Uniplas was formally invited to the Lower Hutt Mayor's office, where Mayor Ken Laban officially presented the award in recognition of our sustainability achievements. Being acknowledged by both The Post Gold Awards and the Lower Hutt City Council is a milestone we are extremely proud of as a business and as a member of the Lower Hutt manufacturing community.

The Green Gold Award reflects Uniplas's ongoing commitment to reducing our environmental footprint across all areas of our operation. Our sustainability programme encompasses energy generation and consumption, waste reduction and elimination, and the general plant effecintcy .

While this recognition is a significant milestone, it represents a point along the journey rather than a destination. Uniplas remains committed to identifying and implementing further improvements across our operation, with several key initiatives currently underway. We will continue to set a high standard for sustainable manufacturing in New Zealand and look forward to sharing further progress in the months ahead.
